This Past Weekend in Arizona
Mon., Dec. 4. 2006 10:01pm EST
Quick: Somebody send the "Mythbusters" team to Arizona; that "hot weather" thing appears to be a complete fabrication. If we didn't know better, we would have thought we were still in Pittsburgh this past weekend, but that didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay in Phoenix (Gilbert and Chandler) on Friday and Sunday and Flagstaff on Saturday.
T'is the season, so we've been incorporating Christmas songs into our set list. We didn't have the Three Wise Men, but we did have the Six Wisemans Saturday -- Orville and Kristin Wiseman coordinated the concert, and their four kids were also in attendance. They also sponsored a concert with us this past June.
As his name suggests, Orville W. is a pilot and has his own aviation company, so he flew us to and from Flagstaff. Like last time, our lead guitarist/producer, Karl Messner, was the co-pilot, and did much of the flying.
Here's a nice email we just received from Alyssa Misuraca, who coordinated Friday's concert with her husband, Tom:
Thank you for such a great show on Friday night. All the kids were buzzing about it on Sunday. You guys have quite a talent. Keep it up!
Special thanks to:
Our other concert coordinator, Joe Faherty (Chandler).
Our sound and light crew: Randy, Kevin, and Vincent (all three shows).
Our merchandise coordinators: Amanda and Chris (Gilbert), Robert and Jen (Flagstaff); and
Our roadies: Ricky and Randy (all three shows)
Our chauffeurs: Tom, Brenda, Steve, and Ron.
