Former Drummer Has Two Reasons to Celebrate

ApologetiX alumni drummer Bob Flaherty has two reasons to celebrate and he asked us to share them both with you.
First of all, Bob is getting married to his fiancee, Michelle, on June 2. We're very happy for him. Bob played drums for us from 1995-98 and later worked with us as a soundman/roadie, and he remains a close friend. Unfortunately, we'll be unable to attend, because we'll in playing a concert in Bartlesville OK.
The second reason to celebrate actually started out as bad news ... until ApologetiX fans came to the rescue. The happy couple had a beautiful chapel picked out in the mountains of North Carolina, but the venue had to cancel recently because of maintenance problems. Bob asked us to email fans in the area to see if they might have a facility he could rent. And the fans did not disappoint.
"I was bombarded with help," says Bob. "There were SO many people willing to help and offer churches and lodging it was almost overwhelming.
"A fan from Waynesville NC, Capt Trint Sills of the Salvation Army, offered his chapel at no cost! The chapel was only 20 minutes away from where we are spending our honeymoon. Capt Sills first saw ApologetiX on July 4, 2002, in Franklin NC. Strangely enough, I was at that show even though I was no longer playing with the band. I just had driven up from Columbia SC to see them.
"I am so very grateful to all of you who offered help, especially to Capt. Sills! Thank you so much, Trint, for your generosity. I cannot express the amount of gratitude you deserve."
Need we say it again? We have the best fans in the world!
