This Past Weekend in IN, WI & MI
Mon., Oct. 29. 2007 10:16pm EDT
We're taking this weekend off after doing four shows this past weekend in Middlebury IN (Friday), Green Bay WI (two on Saturday), and Manton MI (Sunday).
The Green Bay shows were our 50th and 51st ever in Wisconsin. They were also two years to the day from the first concert we ever played with Jimmy "Vegas" Tanner on drums. We've now played exactly 250 concerts since then, although Jimmy's 250th concert with us won't be until Sunday, November 11 in Burlington KY (Bill "Moose" Rieger came back to play three shows in early 2006 for his official farewell weekend, so Jimmy's only played 247.)
We had a "Freaky Friday" moment at Sunday's concert, when a bus driver became a concert promoter and a concert promoter became a bus driver.
Sunday's show was coordinated by Super Dave Johnson, who has driven the new ApologetiX bus on three different tours thus far, including its maiden voyage. Ironically, our bus driver for this past weekend was Alan Strobel, who coordinated our concert in Akron OH last December and is coordinating another one this coming December.
Here are a couple of comments we received from this past weekend's concertgoers: My wife, Colleen, and I saw you in Middlebury IN on Friday, and we really enjoyed the show. "The Real Sin Savior" is one of my wife's favorite APX songs, so we were excited to hear it live. This is our third APX concert and we are looking forward to #4 in Saline MI on December 1.

Chelsea MI Thanks so much for a wonderful concert in Green Bay. Every year I bring someone new to Cup O Joy to hear you perform, and this year my niece came. My grandson had come last year and invited himself to escort us. He is a new Steelers fan and was excited to have the band sign his hat.
I was really impressed with the performance as I was a huge fan of Karl's and wondered how the band would sound. I miss Karl and pray for him and Deb, but the band praised God in their usual unique and talented way and I LOVED it. God bless you all! (I volunteer at LiFest & will be
contacting them to see if we can get you back here this summer.)
