This Past Weekend in WI & MN
Mon., Apr. 6. 2009 2:50pm EDT
Our concerts this past weekend in Kenosha WI and Shakopee MN were such a hot ticket that three of our bus drivers volunteered to go -- Rich "Aquaman" Polick, Super Dave Johnson, and "Danger" Dan Uber. That proved providential, because a snowstorm hit Minnesota as our Saturday concert was ending, so we decided to drive home through the night to beat the blizzard.
We weren't dreaming of a white Palm Sunday, but one of the dreams of our bassist, Keith Haynie, came true at Friday's show when we met Whitecross lead guitarist Rex Carroll and bassist Benny Ramos. Keith has been a big fan of the legendary Christian metal group since long before he joined ApologetiX.
Here's a nice note from Tom Joyal, who coordinated our concert in Shakopee:There was a LOT of "buzz" around church today about the concert. People who were there came up and thanked me, and people who weren't there asked how it went. I've been going to Bloomington Lutheran for 15 years, and I honestly cannot recall any other event that has caused that much talk AFTER it was over. And everything I heard was very positive. You guys really made an impression, and Pastor Pudell thinks this might give us a basis for doing more similar events. Here's some fan feedback from the weekend:Tom is great! And so is Tom! :) Hope that continues to go well for all of you! It was a great concert, especially since you guys played a lot of my favorite songs! You did "Enter Samson"!!! Epic win! I've got to remember I can't bang my head like that, at least without warm ups or something, because I'm not 15 anymore and now I have a bit of a chink in my neck. I'm terribly amused by this, I'm not sure why.

McHenry IL Great concert in Kenosha last night! I use your music as a teaching tool for Bible study. I've given out your CDs to a lot of people; they're great for ministry. I'm always looking for new ways to convey "old truths." Keep up the good work!
