Biology Prof Used ApologetiX to Teach

Usually when a professor gives you the third degree about something, that's bad. This retired professor, however, has three degrees, and had something good to say to us:I am a pretty long-time fan of ApologetiX. Actually, I was a fan before I knew who the band really was. I first came across the song "Monkey Scheme" on a very simple light-blue web-page that was titled across the top with the word "ApologetiX." Below this title was an image of a Triquetra, and below that was the link to a free download of the aforementioned song.
I downloaded it, and immediately was deeply impressed with the lyrics-writing style, the clever humor, and the general quality of the parody from the very start. Since there was no other information about what "ApologetiX" was, that first exposure became the extent of my knowledge with regard to the band. A few years later, I came across some more material on the W3 concerning the "band -- ApologetiX" -- and I was a fan.
You might note that my profile on your website states that my occupation is "Retired (Disability)" -- that has only been true for the last 4.5 years. For the preceding 15 years, I was a professor of both applied environmental science, and teacher education at a wonderful Christian college (now a university). Even though I possess three university degrees from secular institutions, I am, and always have been a "Literal, 6-Day Creationist."
All of this, to share with you, that in virtually every beginning biology class I have ever taught, I have (at some point) played your song, "Monkey Scheme," and let my students view the lyrics. Truly, from the heart, thank you for your many years of ministry. Remain humble, and may God grant you many more years, as He sees fit.
