Last Saturday in Ellwood City PA
Wed., Oct. 17. 2012 3:42pm EDT
Our concert last Saturday in Ellwood City featured local-boy-makes-good Tom Milnes filling in for Todd Waites, but that wasn't all. Bill Hubauer stopped in on his way home from a two-week national tour with Neal Morse and joined us onstage for four songs, including fiddle on "The Devil Went Down to Jordan."
Our other local boy on stage, of course, was bass player Keith Haynie, who also takes care of the band bus. Unfortunately, even though the concert was only a few miles from his house, that was too much for the band bus; Keith couldn't get it to start, and we had to get another vehicle to tow our trailer to and from the venue.
Keith finally got the bus started on Tuesday, but he couldn't get it to go over 45 miles per hour. We've since had a house call from a diesel mechanic who is also a fan of the band, and we hope we've correctly analyzed the problem. But this weekend's concerts are still on.
Here are some Facebook comments from fans in attendance:"Thank you for the wonderful concert! It was my first time to hear you and I loved it! I came home with a new CD."
