The Bus is Back ... in the Shop
Thu., Mar. 7. 2013 1:26pm EST
Last weekend, we played our first concerts of 2013, and you'll never guess what happened ...
Our shuttle bus sputtered out on the way home after Saturday's show, leaving us stranded in sub-freezing temperatures next to the football field at Kent State University in Ohio, 75 miles from home. We can't remember feeling so cold as we did while waiting for assistance ... and we've been to Alaska!
What's wrong with the bus? We're still not sure, but but it sprayed a lot of oil. We had it towed to our local shop. Praise God we had just renewed our AAA membership (the one with 100-mile towing for shuttle buses) on Thursday night. We have two weeks to find out before our next shows.
Other than that, we had a good weekend. Our musical equipment worked fine after three and a half months off, and we had a chance to meet and minister to many grateful people.
Please keep us in prayer, as we ponder what to do next with the bus. The responses we got at the concerts left no doubt that God wants us to keep playing shows -- the only question is how we'll get there. :)
Thanks!
