A Very Busy & Fruitful Week in the Studio
Thu., Sep. 25. 2014 11:32pm EDT
It's been a busy week for our engineer, Jimmy "Vegas" Tanner, at Red Apple Audio Workshop:
On Monday night, the Heavenly Horns (Mike Bajsec, Jeff Martin, and George Dorow) were in the studio recording the brass parts for three new parodies from the 60's and 70's.
On Tuesday morning, it was Chris VonBartheld laying down piano parts for one of those tunes.
On Wednesday, J. recorded vocals for another one of those tunes, plus two others -- a late-70's rock classic with guitars by Tom Tincha for and a mid-60's oldie with guitars by Wayne Bartley.
Thursday was supposed to be a session with Keith Haynie recording bass for two songs, but that had to be postponed till next Tuesday, as Jimmy prepared a song for Bill Hubauer to mix for this weekend's single.
In his "spare" time, Jimmy is recording drums for still more songs, including a new 80's parody featuring Wayne Bartley and Tom Milnes.
Wow! Praise the Lord for bringing us such a talented team and so many cool ideas!
