Cat Couldn't Curtail Hubie's World Tour

ApologetiX producer and alumnus keyboardist Bill Hubauer is in Canada right now with The Neal Morse Band, in the first week of a three-week world tour promoting their new album, The Grand Experiment.
Before he left, however, Hubie made a starting discovery: "Uh … ok ... starting to test pack my gear for the tour when I discovered that one of my cats has been using one of my keyboard cases for a litter box."
There's nothing like a pet to put things in perspective! It reminds us of that old Disney movie, That Darn Cat and that old Clash parody, "Rock the Cat Box."
Although Hubie's cat was apparently unimpressed, The Grand Experiment is garnering rave reviews in progressive-rock magazines. In addition to Neal and Hubie, the band features renowned drummer Mike Portnoy (of Dream Theater and Avenged Sevenfold), plus Randy George and Eric Gillette.
Bill not only played on the project; he also participated in the vocals and songwriting. Lasting from February 22 through March 14, the tour will take them to Nashville, Manhattan, Montreal, Quebec City, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles before heading to Switzerland, the Netherlands, England, Belgium, France, and Germany.
Neal first found fame with Spock's Beard, one of the more successful progressive rock bands of the late 90's, and Transatlantic, a progressive-rock supergroup that also featured members of Dream Theater, Marillion, and the Flower Kings. He became a born-again Christian in 2002 and embarked on a successful solo career.
Bill played his first live concert with Neal Morse in July 2012 and has already toured the country and the world with him, contributing on keyboards, violin, and saxophone.
