ApX Lead Singer on ESPN Again This Weekend
Wed., Jan. 10. 2018 8:33pm EST
J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX here again.
Looks like I'll get to make another appearance on ESPN this weekend. As many of you know, ESPN interviewed me in the fall of 2016 as part of a TV feature on football and faith. Not only did they come to our church, they even came to our house and filmed my wife and me watching the Steelers game.
ESPN ran the show quite a few times on multiple channels from December 2016 through February 2017, and I was amazed at how many friends and family members who didn't even know about it told me they just happened to see me on television while channel surfing or looking up at the screen at a restaurant or some other public place. I even had a lady stop her car one day while I was walking to ask if I was the same person she'd seen recently on ESPN.
Well, it seems my 15 minutes of fame got some rollover minutes. Earlier this week, I received a text from that show's producer informing me they're going to be showing it once again as part of a show called E:60 on ESPN2 this coming Sunday, January 14, at 9 a.m. EST. If you tune in and don't see that segment right away, stay tuned. In prior instances when they've used it, it's appeared at various times within the show, sometimes longer than others.
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!
P.S. God is good!
