ApX on the Air in Remote Alaska

We had a nice email exchange this past week with a fan who asked permission to air our parodies on a new radio station he is starting as an outreach in Southeast Alaska. Of course, we were happy to be a part of his ministry and to supply him with music. Here are some excerpts from what he said:The Lord, my wife, and I are establishing a Christian radio station in remote Alaska, planning to go on the air sometime this coming summer.
I really enjoy your music and know that other brothers and sisters in Alaska would probably enjoy them as well. There are a lot of us in our 50s, 60s, and 70s out in our area of Alaska who were big classic rock fans back in the day.
I am planning on including a regular show on our station "The Old Christian Rockers Hour," and your parodies of classic rock music would be featured there.
Your generosity and willingness to help our mission will never be forgotten!!!! (literally!!) We are a self-funded ministry (using our retirement savings), and hope that with God's blessings we can always remain that way - so your donation to us of your music really helps!
It was a good brother of mine from church who knows that I was a big fan of classic rock who told me about ApologetiX. That was a couple of years ago and since then I've become a big fan of yours.
We already have our home (a small cabin really) on some acreage in Alaska (bought cheap in a state land sale); we have been periodically visiting it since we bought it about a dozen years ago - and we are now in the process of selling our other home and moving permanently to begin our mission - target date of June this year.
Last summer we were there running tests on our low power FM "rig", and successfully broadcast over our town for most of two months. The townspeople really liked having a Christian radio station; all of our feedback was very positive. When we return, the FM station will go back on the air, and we are also working on a higher-powered AM station to go on the air in late 2018 or 2019 that we hope will reach most of the southern part of Southeast Alaska.
I have worked several years as a volunteer for RenewFM (see: www.renewfm.org), and my home church is the church (Horizon Christian Fellowship) that owns and runs the RenewFM network. The studio and technical experience I've had there has helped prepare me for my mission to Alaska.
My current pastor suggested that I name our mission "Jeremiah 31:10 Ministries", as our goal is to reach the lost and support fellow believers in the Alexander Archipelago of Alaska (40,000 islands in and around Alaska's "inside passage" - dotted with numerous small fishing and subsistence living villages).
Jeremiah 31:10 "Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off....."
God bless you and all of the members of Apologetix and your families!
Should you ever be in our part of Alaska you have an open invitation to come and visit - we'd love to have any or all of you, if you don't mind sleeping on a cot or hammock with us in a remote Alaskan cabin. ;) If we all overflow the cabin we also have several tents available — not five-star accommodations, but it comes with lots of love, friendship, and good home cooking.
Please consider my wife and I as close friends, there will always be an open door and open hearts in our home for you. How about that? Just when you thought Alaska couldn't get any cooler. :)
