Never Mind the Sex Pistols, Here's ApologetiX

We got this email last weekend from a fan in Australia who also ordered our USB:I'm looking forward to hearing "An Old King in the New Age," as the Pistols were my favourite band before I became a Christian. Of course ApologetiX are my favourite band now (I hope saying that doesn't make me sound like a sycophant).
I see from your latest email that you have done parodies for all the letters of the alphabet except for X. Have you considered doing a parody of the L.A. punk band called X? I still have a few of their songs on my play list.
Thanks for your ministry
Ken Turner
Pearsall, Western Australia Thanks, Ken! We're honored to be your favorite band. A sycophant? Is that some crazy breed of Australian elephant? Don't worry; we know what sycophants are, and you're not one of them.
We also know about the band X. They're probably the second-most famous band starting with the letter X, after XTC. We currently have no plans to spoof either of those bands, but we didn't have any plans to spoof the Sex Pistols until the last year or two, so you never know.
Check out The Bangles' 1984 single "Hero Takes a Fall" sometime. The lyrics include the line "suddenly your sycophants are chanting slogans at your door," but Susanna Hoffs pronounces "sycophants" like "psycho fans."
