ApX Assembles to Appreciate Bill Hubauer
Sat., Feb. 23. 2019 10:20am EST
On Friday night, many of us went out to see ApologetiX alumnus keyboardist Bill Hubauer perform live with the Neal Morse Band in Pittsburgh PA — or, as Neal Morse and his other band members call it, "Hubietown" and "Pittsbauer."
It was quite a night for ApX current and alum band members, including two keyboardists (Bill Hubauer and Rich Mannion), two guitarists (Tom Tincha and Wayne Bartley), four drummers (Jimmy "Vegas" Tanner, Bill "Moose" Rieger, David McKee, and Jeff Pakula), one bassist (Jake Rieger), and one singer (J. Jackson).
ApX bassist Keith Haynie had originally planned to attend but needed to bow out when his daughter Sarah made a surprise visit from Nashville with his newborn grandson, Wyatt.
Also on hand were ApX alumnus sound/light crew members Greg Spack, Evan Gross, and Mark Bodin. You can see a team photo at https://www.facebook.com/Apologetix.
Unfortunately, some of the guys had left or were unavailable by the time we took the photo. We wish we could have gotten everybody in one shot, but we got most of 'em, including the esteemed Mr. Hubauer!
The Neal Morse Band's current tour kicked off in Nashville on February 2 and will take them all over the United States, Canada, and Europe by the time it finishes in mid-April. They were in Toronto on Thursday and will be in Cleveland and Detroit on Saturday and Sunday. In fact, ApX alum keyboardist Todd Waites plans to attend the Cleveland show.

We're so proud of Bill and happy for him! Those guys are all musician's musicians, and it is a true delight to see them all using their impressive gifts for God's glory!
