ApX Top 11 from a Pastor in Illinois

In November 2021, a fan in Wyoming sent us her Top 10 favorite ApX songs and suggested we invite other fans to do the same for a possible regular feature in our newsletter. Since then, we've shared lists from fans all over the United States, plus Canada and Kenya.
Here's a Top 11 (five albums, six songs) we received this week from a pastor in Virden IL (near Springfield).
I have enjoyed reading the top 10 song lists of others in your recent newsletters, so I thought I would offer my take. It is difficult to only list 10! For that reason, I thought I would list my favorite CDs you have released since many of my favorites are found on your releases that focus on music from the 70's and 80's (the decades that produced the best music of all time!).
So here are my favorite CD's noting my favorite song off of each CD:
1) Wise Up and Rock
Favorite song: "Don't Stop till Egypt"
2) Recovery
Favorite song: "Hurry Home Wayward Son
3) You Can't Say Euphrates Without the 80's
Favorite song: "Separate Days (To Worship God)"
4) Minor League
Favorite song: "Malachi"
5) Classics: 80's
Favorite song: "Want It Dead or Alive"
Now, I wanted to mention one other song that has blessed me probably more than any other of my favorites and is not on the CD's I have listed.
That song is "Offer Your Prayer." I am a bi-vocational pastor. I have a wonderful loving family and congregation who provide awesome support. There are times however, when I questioned if I was having any positive impact on those God has given me to serve in my church, community and at my second job.
Like many others, I have struggled with doubt, discouragement etc. Honestly the first time I heard "Offer Your Prayer," I felt as though it was written for me. Thank you for this song that God has used to get my focus Him as I serve Him here in my community!
Good Bless You,
Steve Gocking
Virden IL Thank you, Pastor Steve! That is exactly what we hoped it would do for people like you! We are humbled and honored that God used it to encourage you. Hearing that from you encouraged us!
Editor's note: Feel free to submit your own Top 10 to j@apologetix.com, and we'll see about sharing more in the weeks and months to come.
