Update on ApX Alum Tom Milnes
Sat., May. 7. 2022 4:18pm EDT
As we reported in our last two issues, On Good Friday, ApX alum guitarist Tom Milnes suffered a seizure which resulted in a dislocated shoulder and a broken humerus (bone in the upper arm).
Tom tells us he is "feeling stronger every day," and he was able to return to pulpit last Sunday at Ellport Community Church where he pastors. If you'd like to see and hear the sermon he preached, you can do so at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xajR_3g0xLY
We received this update from his wife, Barb on Thursday:
"Tom got his staples out today. He's out of the brace and into a padded sling for the next four weeks. Then he'll have another appointment in four weeks and start therapy.
"He broke the bone that connects to the shoulder and tore the shoulder muscle. No pins. No plate. They drilled holes in the bone and sewed it to the muscle.
"Next appointment is on May 19 at the neurologist. That's what he needs prayer for now. Specifically, help to find the right neurologist who will be able to read his MRI without having to do a bunch of unnecessary tests. And also to make sure his meds are working."
Please join us in praying for Tom and in thanking God for what He's already done in that situation.
Another friend of ours could also use your prayers. ApologetiX fan Len Muramoto is currently hospitalized with a serious heart condition.
"I need all the prayers I can get," he told us on Friday. "I have a clog in my heart, and they are going to put a camera through my wrist to my heart to check on it."
On Saturday afternoon, he gave us this update: "The CB procedures went well, but I'm still in the hospital."
Thanks for praying for Tom and for Len.
