Looking Back at Last Week in PA, IA & MO
Sun., Jun. 12. 2005 10:14am EDT
Thanks to all the fans who came out to see us in Pittsburgh PA, Garner IA, and Camdenton MO last Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Pittsburgh concerts like last Wednesday's are always a pleasure. It's our hometown, and most of the band members' wives and kids were able to attend, plus some of our oldest friends and fans. We got a special kick out of seeing Randy Lakes, a guy who used to run one of the first Christian coffee houses we ever played (House of Faith in Bridgeville PA). Randy hadn't seen us play in over a decade!
Friday was our first trip to Iowa in three years, but we liked it so much we're coming back this Saturday! Special thanks to ApologetiX fan Luke Decker, who made giant (2 ft. tall) action figures of the band members, including a detailed drum set for Bill (pictured) and a detachable Samson wig for J. You can see the rest of the photos for that and other concerts on our website. After seeing his first ApologetiX show Friday, Luke emailed us and said, "I thought I was a big fan of you guys but now after the show it's risen immeasurably."
Saturday was our third time at Crossover in Camdenton MO in the past four years, and the fans didn't disappoint us with their enthusiasm. We signed autographs for several hours afterward. We also met a fan named Rodney who told us his younger son, Henry, heard our song "Learn Some Deuteronomy" a couple years ago and asked him what the line "Born again, you must be" meant. Rodney was able to start from there and lead his son to the Lord. Praise the Lord!
