This Weekend in TX, MO (near KY) & PA
Tue., Sep. 6. 2005 5:40am EDT
This weekend, we play near four of our favorite places: Austin TX, Paducah KY, St. Louis MO, and Pittsburgh PA.
Friday's concert is in Leander TX, just outside of the fabled Austin city limits. We're proud to do our part to keep Austin the "live music capital of the world." That's why we try to play there at least once a year. Austin radio station KNLE was the first official Christian radio station in the United States, and one of the first to play ApologetiX.
Saturday's concert is in Sikeston MO, home of the original Lambert's Cafe, famous for "throwed rolls," just 1:30 from Paducah and 2:15 from St. Louis. Furthermore, it's only 3:30 from Nashville TN. As a matter of fact, we'll be flying into Nashville and riding to Sikeston ourselves, because the flight schedule and cost is much better this time around than flying into Paducah or St. Louis.
Sunday's concert is in New Brighton PA, right up the road from our home base of Pittsburgh. Actually, New Brighton is closer to Keith's and Karl's homes than downtown Pittsburgh is. If memory serves us correctly, it's also the birthplace of former major league slugger Jack Clark, best known for his stints with the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals.
Hope to see you there!
