Keith Starts a New Trend for Bassists

If you've ever seen ApologetiX in concert, you know that our bass player, Keith Haynie, generally dresses in clothes with a superhero theme. He also keeps a small Spider-Man doll hanging from the headstock of his bass.
That Spider-Man doll has become so iconic that our friend John Taylor worked up something similar for his bass when he filled in for Keith for four concerts last summer. Keith had Spider-Man. John had Spider-Man, too. Now another young fan has Spider-Man III, just in time for the movie in May:
I took my six-year old son to see you guys in Ozark, MO last year. He belts ApologetiX tunes from the shower now. We bought him his first guitar this past Christmas, and by the end of the day he had a Spider-Man doll hanging from the end of the guitar. I bet that sounds familiar!
Here's a picture, complete with Spider-Man hanging on a shoestring. He also has another (not real) guitar with Spider-Man and Superman on it. Those superheroes he drew by hand, so he insisted we take a picture with this guitar!
Thanks for being musicians who I'm happy to let our son listen to! He's full of fun ApologetiX facts, and he still remembers Karl playing the drums from the "wrong" side in concert.
We're so proud of how God has blessed us with our son, and our daughter.
