J. Jackson from ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here.
Hey, I'm only sending this to a few local friends ... honest! And you're one of them.
As you may have read in the latest ApologetiX newsletter, we're going to be taping two shows for C-TV's "His Place" this coming Wednesday, June 27.
I just found out from the host, Jeff, that they need people to fill the audience. If you'd like to come, you're invited. In case you don't know, "His Place" is filmed in Wall, PA, near Monroeville off Rt. 48. I can get you directions if you need them. His Place is filmed in a diner format, and they need people to fill the booths. They will also take people for off-stage, just to make crowd noise. I've done it in the past for other people myself, and it's fun.
Here's what Jeff sent me:
"Could y'all contact friends, relatives, fans, coworkers, etc and invite them? We can fit about 12 people at a time on the set, but if there are more we can try to shuffle them in and out AND set up chairs off set so they can watch from behind the cameras. As long as everyone knows that they are not guaranteed to get on the set. We like to have more than we can use when we have a band because they can clap, yell, scream, etc. after each song creating the illusion that the diner is much larger then what you see on camera. Just to clarify, none of these people would actually be interviewed or talk on camera, but hey, they will be fed and possibly seen on TV all over the world."
Here's what I know so far:
The filming would start at 9:30 p.m. and probably be done by 11 p.m. I don't know yet what time you'd need to be there beforehand, but I'm guessing 8-8:30 p.m. I will probably know by late Sunday (We'll be on the road till then), and I'll let everybody who wants to come know.
Thanks!
J.
