APX Still Leading in CCM Magazine Contest
Mon., Jul. 23. 2007 12:24am EDT
For the past two weeks, we told you about another chance to vote for ApologetiX in a CCM Magazine contest -- the Great Fake CCM Magazine Cover Contest. Readers are encouraged to design their own "dream" covers for CCM Magazine.
ApologetiX fan and friend Jessica Moore in Round Rock TX designed her own ApologetiX cover, and she invites you all to vote for it. We second that invitation ... and you can vote once a day every daytill the end of July.

Thanks to those of you who voted last week, ApologetiX is in the lead by over 100 votes. Your vote can make a difference not only in this contest, but in the amount of publicity CCM Magazine is willing to devote to ApologetiX.
For 30 years, CCM Magazine has been recognized as the premier publication dealing with contemporary Christian music. As an independent band doing what are perceived as "novelty" songs, it's been hard for ApologetiX to get CCM Magazine to take us seriously, so any time you vote in a contest like this it helps.
Here's proof: Because of online voting by our fans, ApologetiX placed in the top three of two categories in CCM Magazine's 2007 Readers' Choice Awards. We came in second in "Artist You'd Like to See on the Cover for the First Time" and third in "Most Underrated Artist." We also placed first in the "best independent band" category in CCM's 2005 awards.
