ApologetiX Live Concert on Net, TV Broadcast, Radio Weekend, Best Buy
Thu., Feb. 22. 2001 2:13am EST

J. Jackson, lead singer for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here again.

Hey, I know that I just sent you an e-mail a day or two ago, but a LOT of cool stuff has happened since then! I couldn't wait to tell you about it, because the first news item is about something that happens tonight!

1. ApologetiX in Concert on the Net -- Tonight & Friday Morning
2. ApologetiX This Weekend on 118 Radio Stations (All Stations Listed by State)
3. ApologetiX on Worldwide TV
4. ApologetiX CDs Available at Best Buy Stores Nationwide

Starting today, February 22, every two hours, you can watch the ApologetiX showcase video (it's streaming, so you won't have big slow download time) on the Internet, starting at 6:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 12:30 a.m., 2:30 a.m., 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.. The video features live concert footage, interviews and the studio video for our "One Way," parody of the song "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies. The video will be shown by the Canadian company that produces the globally broadcast shows, "Quick Study," "Just the Facts," and "The Adventures of Enoch." To see the video (it's 25 minutes long) at any of the times mentioned above got to

In our previous newsletter, I told you that all weekend long, ApologetiX will be the featured performer on 118 radio stations that get the weekend satellite broadcast from the Salem Music Network, the largest Christian radio network in the country. I didn't realize that most listeners to Salem know the network better as "Today's Christian Music."

I also discovered that the promotion will actually begin earlier and end later than I'd thought. It starts Friday, February 23 at 7 p.m. EST, and run until Sunday, February 25, at either 8 p.m. EST, or possibly until Midnight, with two hours off for "Live From The Lambs" from 8-10 p.m. EST. Every hour, Salem will play either a promo spot on the band (with various music cuts), an interview segment or an ApologetiX CD giveaway.

Here's a list of the Salem stations that will be part of this promotion:

ApologetiX is about to get major exposure on 450 television stations worldwide (U.S., Canada and Europe), starting in March, with a potential viewing audience of half a billion people!

We were recently approached by the Canadian company that produces the Christian television shows, "Quick Study," "Just the Facts," and "The Adventures of Enoch" -- You'll probably recognize them if you know who Ron Hembree and his son, Rod Hembree, are. They have asked to start advertising ApologetiX CDs on their shows, starting in March. The company will produce the commercials themselves and will order ApologetiX CDs and offer them through their programs.

Over 60-70 percent of those stations are located in North America. Actual viewership (people whom they know for a fact tune in to the shows) is 1.5 million per "Quick Study" show and 2.5 million per week for all three shows. Our contact says those numbers are actually CONSERVATIVE, and that the actual numbers could be up to 4 million per week for all three shows.

I used to watch a few Christian programs that came out of Canada when I was just a wee lad, and I've often thought about the impact they had on me as a kid, laying groundwork for who I am and what I do today. So, that's just icing on the cake! Praise God for His blessings and kindness to us.

ApologetiX CDs will soon be available at all Best Buy stores nationwide thanks to a deal we now have with OarFin Records.

OarFin places well known independent acts such as blues guitarist Jonny Lang in the following stores: Best Buy, Tower Records, Media Play, Sam Goody, Music Land, On Cue, Circuit City, Wherehouse, Barnes & Noble, Record Shop and Coconuts. When OarFin placed us on recently, they were amazed by the number of orders, and that was before we told the folks on our e-mail list about it!

If ApologetiX CDs are not yet in your local Best Buy store and/or if you'd like to see ApologetiX CDs in any of the store chains mentioned above, please send a brief e-mail with your name, city, and the stores that are close to you, to Bob Pickering at This will help them better determine what stores and cities will have the greatest demand for ApologetiX music. Thanks!

I've got even more news for you, but I'll wait till later. This e-mail is just too long already! Thanks for sharing our happiness!

Finally, please pray for Amy Justiniano, a friend of our publicist Kathleen Burke. Amy is a girl who is enduring chemo treatments for severe cancer. Please pray for endurance for Amy and for a miracle from God. Thanks!
