This Past Weekend in KY, OH & PA
Tue., Oct. 13. 2009 12:39pm EDT

We bid adieu to three of our favorite states this past weekend with concerts in Tollesboro KY, Huron OH, and Beaver Falls PA. Those are the last scheduled stops we have for the Bluegrass State, the Buckeye State, and the Keystone State in 2009. Of course, our bus stops in Pennsylvania at the end of every weekend. :)

As most of you know, we recorded and filmed Sunday's concert in Beaver Falls for our next CD and a possible DVD. We had four official video cameras rolling, not to mention other fans who brought theirs. Most of the songs we played were brand new, and the few older ones we played are much-improved versions of old ApologetiX nuggets from the early days, complete with revised lyrics. We road tested most of those songs at the shows in Tollesboro and Huron.

Here are some fan comments from the weekend:

Great to see you (in Huron OH) as is the norm. The new songs sounded good. I enjoyed it very much. It's kind of sad to know that last night was my last concert for this year.

AWESOME concert (in Beaver Falls), can't wait for the DVD!!!

Jeff James
Cuyahoga Falls OH

Finally got to see you live at the Chippewa concert (in Beaver Falls). I'm sorry I was unable to stay to meet you: school night and two young daughters. It was for my eldest daughter's birthday (and they enjoyed it very much).

Quick funny story: They've been to classical and jazz concerts and at the beginnning were sitting quietly. I even got up and yelled, and Erienne said I was embarrassing her. They warmed up to it (they were the little ones at the stage through much of it, dancing away). On the way back Erienne said they were told they were going to a concert so they were prepared to sit quietly and listen: which they did. I almost drove off the road laughing.

Anyway, it was fun. Thank you also for the non-apologetic presentation of the gospel. Good to see.

I want to thank you for what you are doing for God's people. Your music reaches young and old. I felt truly blessed to have had the chance to not only listen to your music, but, to also have had the chance to fellowship with you at Beaver Falls. I look forward to the next concert we are able to attend. Thank you!

Honorable mention to:

Jenn "The Superchick" Kipp, who attended her 99th and 100th ApologetiX concerts Saturday and Sunday.

Rich "The Statesman" Polick, who attended his 179th and 180th concerts Saturday and Sunday and has now seen us play in 42 consecutive months. Rich's daughter, Marie, saw her 120th and 121st concerts, so they've now seen a total of over 300 combined concerts!

Bob, Chris, and Jon Sackett, who drove from Michigan to see the concerts in Huron and Beaver Falls. They've seen us in at least five states now.

Chris Bailey, who flew in from Wisconsin to see the Beaver Falls concert. She's seen us 66 times in 17 states.

Matthew Mann, who drove from Maryland with his son Eric to see the Beaver Falls concert. It was Matthew's 19th show in four states.
