This Past Weekend in PA & OH
Tue., Mar. 9. 2010 11:22am EST
Sorry, Lady Gaga; no poker face here ... but we did have two full houses this past weekend in Pittsburgh PA and Newark OH.
The Pittsburgh show was our 18th anniversary show, and special guests included three ApologetiX alumni drummers, Jeff Pakula, Bob Flaherty, and Bill "Moose" Rieger.
The Newark show was a benefit concert for Alexa Duston, a five-month old little girl with athrogryposis, a rare disorder that seriously affects the body's joints. Alexa and her family were at the show. She is a darling little girl, and the concert actually raised quite a bit of money for her, so that was exciting.
We thank God for all of the fans who attended those shows. Here are some of their email comments we received afterward:
AWESOME concert last night. It was also really nice to see all your families and alumni. Special thanks to:

I brought three family members -- you have new fans. My sister said, "now I see why you were trying to get me to go to the concert, I'm hooked". My cousin (age 55) even cried. Don't know for sure what was going on, but she admitted to being very moved. We love your presentation and especially love the message. Even my 80-year- old aunt was impressed, and she's seen a lot in her time. I plan to work on getting our Youth Group to attend next time you are close enough. I know the work you do is inspired by the Holy Spirit.

I just wanted to compliment you guys on the show. Everyone was outstanding. You hit all the points your various age fans love so I thought it was well done. Thanks for always being gracious. I have had some tough times in the past year but your music always puts a smile on my face.
