An ApologetiX Fan Goes Home to the Lord
Tue., Apr. 13. 2010 3:00pm EDT
Joshua Cable had been trying for a long time to get a big group of people to come to an ApologetiX concert. This past Sunday, 23 of his friends were in attendance at our show in Oregon OH. Unfortunately, Josh wasn't able to make it. He went home to be with the Lord two weeks earlier after a year-long battle with colon cancer. He was 36.
Josh's wife, Cheryl, invited everyone to attend as a tribute to her husband, whom she referred to as one of our biggest fans. Their daughter, Robyn, was also in attendance. Cheryl told us that her first date with Josh was at one of our concerts. Their wedding anniversary was June 3, the same as ApologetiX lead singer J. Jackson and his wife, Lisa. Josh passed away on the anniversary of the first ApologetiX concert, March 27.
Here's what Cheryl had to say about Josh:He fought a good fight and never complained. Your music brought Josh so much joy, and he would go to your concerts whenever he could. Thank you for your Love for the Lord and the joy you brought to my husband through your music.
My heart is broken that he had to go but I know he did not abandon me. God took him home (how wonderful for him). I was blessed with eight beautiful, happy years. He belonged to God and He needed Josh back. He was such a energetic, happy person and that says so much about your music. Thank you! We are very honored to have another of our fans in Heaven, although we grieve for the loved ones he left behind. Please keep Cheryl and Robyn in your prayers.
