This Past Weekend in CT & ME
Mon., Jun. 21. 2010 7:06am EDT
We made our second New England trip of 2010 this past weekend, with concerts in Cheshire CT and Bangor ME. It was our fifth trip ever to both the Constitution State and the Pine Tree State.
For the record, the New England states we've played the most are New Hampshire (nine times) and Massachusetts (six times). We've also been to Vermont three times and Rhode Island twice.
That means Saturday's concert was our 30th ever in New England. It was also Keith's 1111th ApologetiX concert.
Here's a nice email from Friday's concert coordinator:How can we ever say enough "thanks" for such an amazing night? The music, the fellowship -- everything was amazing! We checked with our pastor to get his response and he used the words, "clean, fun and encouraging."
Thank you for the little taste of the new album coming next. It's been almost 24 hours since we've heard it and it's still making me laugh! (Good thing we were standing in the back at the time, it makes "rolling in the aisles" so much easier!) :) We loved it!
Once again, bringing the band to Cheshire was challenging, rewarding and extremely memorable. We highly recommend it!
Don & Jauneen Doré
Cheshire CT Special thanks to:
Our concert coordinators: Don Doré (Cheshire) and Tony Stevens (Bangor)
Our merchandise coordinators: Buffy and Helen (Cheshire) and Kaitlyn and Vee (Bangor)
Our bus driver: Rich
Our sound and light crew: Greg
Honorable mention to: Joel Havian, who drove from Masschusetts to both shows. Having first seen us in 2000 at Soulfest in New Hampshire, Joel has now seen ApologetiX 15 times in six states. Ironically, although there are six states in New England, Joel has never seen us in Vermont. The other state is actually Arizona, where he saw us play in May 2008.
