This Past Weekend in NC & WV
Sun., Aug. 29. 2010 3:10pm EDT
We had such a great time at our concerts this past weekend in Goldsboro NC and South Charleston WV that we'll return to both states less than a month from now.
Here's a post-concert review from our concert coordinator in South Charleston:
We had an incredible turn out! If you were there, then I don't have to tell you what an awesome, exciting, fun, hilarious, encouraging, exhilarating, and glorifying to our Heavenly Father time we had last night. If you were not able to be at the concert, I hope you'll be able to speak to someone who was there. Here is some email commentary we got from fans afterward:
ApologetiX surpassed our expectations; not just in their musical and singing abilities or their humor, BUT in how these men came in the name of Jesus. They were determined to bring God glory by testifying and proclaiming the saving power of His Son Jesus Christ. They shared testimony and they proudly spoke of their wives and children!! For these men, music was just the vehicle they drove to get the Gospel to Oaks Field in South Charleston, WV.
We saw firsthand how people were drawn by the sound of familiar music, as you could see people gathering around the closed gates across the field. We opened those gates during the concert and told the people the concert was free to the community. One family actually came in and sat in the stands and finished watching the concert. We saw the scripture "If My name be lifted up I will draw all men to myself," fulfilled last night.
