Terrific Testimonies from Tennessee and India

In last week's newsletter, J. talked about a song he was writing about the challenges Christian face in today's world because of people's preconceived notions about Christianity. That article received quite a few responses. Here are two that we thought were exceptionally interesting and inspiring:This is so true! Here are a few stories for ya!
I traveled with the New Life Drama Company (Cleveland TN) for a couple of years. We would go door to door or do street ministry on our down time.
Once in Tennessee, I had a loaded, double-barrel shotgun pointed about 10-12 inches from my face. I was told if I said anything else about Jesus, I was dead. I told him that Jesus loves him, he cussed at me and I left.
Another time in Massachusetts, near Salem, I had a "curse" put on me by a self proclaimed witch. I'm too blessed to be cursed!
Once in California, we were on a college campus, passing out tracts and were forced to leave because they didn't "tolerate Christian literature" on their campus.
I really appreciate your music and ministry. Keep spreading the Truth. You may never see all of the end results in people's lives, but they're there! God bless!

I was in an Indian prison for 16-plus years, and even there the staff were asking why I turned to Christ instead of one of their so called powerful idols! To some people you simply cannot explain that the is no other God except Our Heavenly Father, especially when they have thousands of idols that they call god, which are somehow all related.
Even today, as a preacher and social worker, people do ask me why I am a Christian instead of a Hindu? They even say that I would get more recognition and fame if I am a Hindu! What they do not understand is that we Christians do not do the works for personal glory but for Him. We will receive our crown in Heaven.
Do keep up the good works. In June, if all goes as planned and by His will, I will open a centre here that will incorporate your tracks in my services. Will send you more information about all these in time.
What I went through and in fact how I ended up in prison in the first place is a testimony of God's mercy and love for all sinners. If you desire a full testimony, I would be glad to share it with you, especially how I became a Christian.
I am still in India and actively involved in prison ministry and have the distinction of being the only ex-Singapore military professional turned gangster, turned assassin, ex-life convict turned legal aide, turned preacher who has got high level clearance to visit all prisons here without escort and interact directly with all the inmates anywhere within the prison.
I did not ask for all these but The Lord had other better plans for me to serve Him by serving the prisoners, my brethren with whom I had spent all those years.
Thank you and may The Lord continue His works through your songs.
