Preparations in Place for Our Next CD

Here's an update from ApologetiX lead singer and lyricist J. Jackson on the next ApologetiX CD:
In case you haven't heard, our next CD is an all-80's project. We've been wanting to do that for a few years now. The closest we ever came to an all-80's project before was Spoofernatural back in 2000, and it was one of our most-popular CDs. Furthermore, the ApologetiX Classics: The 80's CD is one of the most popular titles in that series, too. But the main reason we're doing it is because we loved (and lived) the 80's.
We've already started playing some of the songs in our live shows, and they're getting a great response. Having Todd Waites with us on keyboards almost every week has been a big blessing, because there are so many great 80's songs that feature keyboards. We have several other songs that we've been doing in soundcheck that are also shaping up well.
Believe it or not, I have completed lyrics for over 50 potential songs for this project. God has made the past four months one of the most fruitful periods of writing I've ever experienced. Of course, we can't fit 50 songs on a CD, so we'll have to narrow it down a lot. But, Bill Hubauer and I are planning to include a medley or two in addition to the regular full-length tracks, so we can maximize the amount of music on this project.
We're scheduled to go into the studio on July 12 and 13 to record the drums, bass, and as much of the guitars as possible. Hubie will be producing as usual, and we'll have Rick Witkowski (guitarist for Crack the Sky and the B.E. Taylor Group) engineering, as he did on our Recovery CD.
We hope to have the CD completed by November. Please keep us in prayer as we prepare.
