And the Title of Our Next CD is ...

Usually it's not very complimentary to say somebody has a sense of entitlement. We don't have that, but we do have a sense of the title of our next CD. It's Wise Up and Rock.
As you probably guessed, Wise Up and Rock is a play on "Rise up and walk" from Luke 5:23, when Jesus said, "Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?"
The switching of consonants from "rise up and walk" to "wise up and rock" is called a spoonerism, named after the Reverend William Archibald Spooner (1844–1930), a former warden of New College, Oxford. Spooner was legendary for such slips of the tongue.
It's also what we try to get people to do -- learn (wise up) while they're rocking and rolling. As our bassist, Keith Haynie, says "Wise up and rock. I have been telling people that for years."
Loaded with parodies from the 1980's, Wise Up and Rock is well underway. We're hoping for a November release. Please keep that in your prayers.
