J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here.

Holy Toledo! Yeah, I know everybody since Robin the Boy Wonder has used that expression to describe their exploits in that fabled Northwestern Ohio town, but since when have we ever been accused of being original? Anyway, we were blown away by the response we got in Toledo last Saturday night -- another sellout crowd!

Thanks to our pals at YES-FM and all of our friends in Ohio (plus a few from Indiana and Michigan) who showed up. I even got to bring my wife, Lisa, and two of my three daughters, Heather and Kelly, and Keith brought his wife, Krista, and his three kids, Sammy, Sarah, and Abby. All this and Bill Hubauer (our keyboard guy) too! Bill won't be with us this weekend, but those of you in Missouri and Indiana will see plenty of songs you've never seen us play in concert before. We can't wait to see you all again!

4. PLEASE COME TO AUSTIN FOR THE SPRINGTIME?

Rumor has it we may be playing a concert in one of our very favorite places in the world, Austin TX, very soon, although nothing has been confirmed. Watch our website in the coming week and our newsletter next week.

5. NEW APOLOGETIX SINGLE SETS A NEW RECORD

Our new single, the remixed version of "Lifestyles of the Rich & Nameless," is having a great week. It's the most added single on two major national charts, R&R Magazine's Christian Rock Charts and Christian Beats' Pop Charts.

Our radio promoter, Seth Holloway, who promotes a number of Christian bands, tells us "Lifestyles" set a personal record for the most stations added in the first week by any artist he has ever promoted -- 39 stations! Praise God! Here are the stations that are playing it already:

CFJU, FREEEOCK1.COM, KBNJ, KCLC, KCVO, KECC, KEFX, KMNU, KMOD, KRKS, KSLT, KSNS, KYMC, KYTT, KZZD, LATIN CCM / SOUTH AMERICA, THE EDGE RADIO / MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, TRUE LIFE RADIO.COM, WAEF, WAJS, WAUQ, WBVM, WCCR, WFHB, WGCF, WILV, WITR, WMUL, WNCM, WONC, WORQ, WRGX, WSNL, WVCP, WVOF, WWIB, WYSZ, WZFR, WZZD

6. WE ARE (COMING TO) PENN STATE

After years of playing concerts in our home state of Pennsylvania (and many more years of just plain living in the state), we are finally slated to do a concert in State College, PA, home of Penn State University, in early April.

I guess we'll have to start working on some more Nittany lines for that parody of "Disco Inferno" from "Saturday Night Fever" -- "Disco Paterno."

Here are the details:

Saturday, April 3, 2004 Doors open at 7:00 pm
Free Concert (donations accepted)

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast
