This Past Weekend in WI
Mon., Oct. 24. 2011 9:28am EDT
The speed limit in Wisconsin is 65. Let's hope they don't have the same limit for concerts, because our three shows this past weekend in Milwaukee and Green Bay brought us up to a grand total of 65 concerts in the Badger State over the past dozen years. Of course, it's probably only natural that a cheesy band like us should spend a lot time in a state known for its cheese.
Saturday's shows in Green Bay marked our 13th straight year with an appearance at the Cup O' Joy, our favorite Christian music venue. And the predominantly pro-Packer people there were very gracious to this still-stinging Steeler-supporting group of guys in the aftermath this year's Super Bowl.
Here's an email excerpt from our concert coordinator in Milwaukee:Thank you for playing at Mt Hope Friday. Considering we only had a month to promote the concert, I thought it went well. I hope we can do it again next year. You are a blessing to our ministry, and we pray for God to bless your home, family, and your bus.
