Hubie's Back! Where's Todd?
Wed., Mar. 7. 2012 12:13pm EST
Monday was the one-year anniversary of our first concert with Todd Waites on keyboards. So, in honor of that, Bill Hubauer will play keyboards at this Saturday's show in Mount Joy PA. Hey, nobody ever said we do things the conventional way in ApologetiX!
Actually, Todd has a special event he needs to attend Saturday, so Hubie's filling in, which is a special treat. Although Hubie played most of our concerts from 2004-08 and a decent amount of them in 2009-10, he only played one concert with us in 2011. He remains the band's producer and a vital part of what we do, especially in the studio.
Speaking of which, we've recently begun working on songs for our next CD in sound checks before shows. I think we have a pretty good idea what the opening and closing tracks will be. Our current plan is for the next CD to include a variety of styles spanning from the 1960's through today, since it's our 20th anniversary CD.
Meanwhile, Tom Milnes, who retired as our other touring lead guitarist last December, has been in the studio producing four other ApologetiX tracks with participation from all five current touring members and Hubie. J.'s family had dinner with Tom and his wife Tuesday night, and he also opened up for us as a solo performer last Saturday.
