Hope you enjoyed your week off from us! We had a great time last week. For those of you who wonder if we members of ApologetiX do anything together when we're not on the road, we had a Fourth of July picnic at Keith's house on July 3 (Hey, if the government can celebrate it on the fifth, why can't we celebrate it on the third?), and everybody was there with their family (even our sound guy, Bob), except for Karl, who had a birthday party to attend at his in-laws some distance away.

We had even bigger celebration last Tuesday, when we filmed the video for our latest single, "Downer of a Sister," the third release from our "Adam Up" CD. The single will be released to Christian rock radio this week, but the video probably won't be released to Christian video stations for a few more weeks. We can't divulge the details of the video yet, but I can tell you that we got a great turnout of fans in response to our last newsletter. People came from eight states to be there with us! We were blown away by the way everybody pitched in to help. It was like the Body of Christ working in miniature. I'd like to name names here, but I'm afraid I'd forget somebody important -- that's how many people pitched in and played significant roles.

6. Prayer Requests

Please pray for a teenage friend of ours, Michael Read, who was in a car accident recently. At first, things looked really bleak, like he would be paralyzed, but God has worked miracles, and the doctors expect him to be walking soon. Please pray for continued healing and encouragement for him.

I also want to praise the Lord for the safe delivery of my new baby niece, Olivia, who was born earlier today. God is good!

Apologetically,

J.

Isaiah 52:13-15
See, my servant will act wisely; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him-his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred beyond human likeness-so will he sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.
