Update on Our Next 2 CDs

Our next CD, 20:20 Vision, is now mastered and on its way to the manufacturer. The artwork should follow a few days later. It's a recording of our 20th anniversary concert in Pittsburgh in August, which many fans have told us was the best ApologetiX show they'd ever attended.
We've done live albums before, but never quite like this. It's a two-CD set, because we wanted fans to finally have a live CD that completely captures the ApologetiX experience, including dialogue between songs, comedy routines, teaching, testimonies, etc.
We tried to think of the "live" albums we liked best when we were growing up. It wasn't the polished "semi-live" albums that were practically rerecorded in the studio; it was the recordings that actually captured a band, warts and all, having a blast interacting with its audience.
This CD features three new songs, 16 classics, and a new medley of other favorites. About half of the songs have female backing vocals. In addition, there are songs that were previously only available acoustically but are now electrified.
Once this project is out the door, we can focus attention on completing the DVD version. Our videographer has been waiting on the final audio master recording, which was completed Wednesday.
We're already hard at work on our next studio CD, which is being recorded at Jimmy's awesome new place, Red Apple Studio. A number of the tracks already have all the drums, bass, guitars, and vocals completed.
Last Friday, while the band was off, J. and Tom M. went into the studio with Jimmy to record lead and backing vocals. The following day, Tom T. recorded guitar parts. On Wednesday, J. was back in the studio with Jimmy doing more vocals.
Praise God for this sudden burst of productivity in the second half of 2012! On July 2, we released the Orchard Avenue EP. The 20:20 Vision CD should be available within a few weeks. And we'll be working hard to get the DVD and the studio CD out by Christmas.
Wow! God is good!
