Last Weekend in Nashville TN
Wed., Aug. 28. 2013 2:03pm EDT
Sometimes you have to go to the city to really get to the country. At least that's the way it was for us last weekend when we played a concert in Nashville TN.
The show was co-sponsored by 94 FM The Fish and Rivergate Chick-fil-A, and J. and Tinch flew in early to do a lunchtime mini-concert at Rivergate Chick-fil-A, with 94 FM The Fish morning show host Doug Griffin acting as emcee while doing a remote broadcast from the restaurant.
The full show later that night had plenty of country parodies sprinkled in, and it also included two songs we think are very appropriate for Chick-fil-A, "Don't Bring Me Cows" and "Keep Your Ham to Yourself."
In fact, during "Don't Bring Me Cows," two of the famous Chick-fil-A cow mascots appeared on stage and joined in the festivities, despite the song's warnings.
Here's a nice email excerpt from 94 FM the Fish that we received after the concert:
I'm still buzzing from the show – again – an excellent job – loved it. Hope we can get you back soon – looking forward to the new Christmas music. Thanks. Here are some other email and Facebook excerpts from fans who were at the show:

Fantastic show! Thank you, well worth the 3 1/2 hour trip.Special thanks to:
Was an awesome concert! First ApologetiX concert and hopefully, not my last!
You guys were great. Have been listening to you for a while now, but that was the first time I've ever seen you live. You guys are phenomenally gifted to do what you do.
Had a great time at the Nashville show; very fun and great ministry; the testimony given by J. was both a parallel and an encouragement to a friend friend who attended. The band was tight, the mood was right, the gospel shined bright, the Savior was elevated in height, the Spirit took flight, and the whole night was out-of-sight!
It was a great show! Thanks to everyone for talking with me and for autographing my CD.
Our concert coordinators: Todd Hunley (who also doubled as our tour guide and was an extremely gracious host) of Rivergate Chick-fil-A, and Doug Griffin and Chris Yates of 94 FM The Fish.
