Fans Review Molly Hatchet & No Doubt Parodies
Thu., Apr. 17. 2014 1:48pm EDT
On Sunday night, we released our new single, featuring the songs "Flirtin' with the Pastor" and "Jezebel." Here are some of the first fan reviews we've received:I just wanted to say excellent job with the new single! The musicianship is top notch in both songs. J's vocals as well as Tom's guitar work on, "Flirtin' With The Pastor" are impressive, and Janna's vocals on "Jezebel" are also impressive! I compared the song to the original version by No Doubt, and was amazed at how close Janna came to cloning Gwen Stefani. Very very impressive vocal work, no doubt about it! ;) But everything was impressive and it was good to hear some guest musicians shine on these songs! Keep up the good work, looking forward to more!

Judging by "Jezebel," the next generation of ApologetiX is good hands! Great message with "Flirtin' with the Pastor" -- one that I needed to hear."

I loved the two new tracks. I think J.'s daughter's plot to take over the band has started (ha, ha).

The lyrics for "Flirtin' with the Pastor" were quite good! Also J.'s daughter is a natural. Excellent job. I wouldn't mind, and I am sure others too, hearing more of her.

Enjoying these! I've never heard "Flirting with Disaster," so even though I enjoyed the parody, it didn't "click" in the same way "Jezebel" did. But I have to say, your mind is a marvel! Who sang "Flirtin' with the Pastor," by the way? Because, seriously, if that's still J. singing leads, it sounds NOTHING like him (which I guess would be an even bigger testament to his abilities if I'd ever heard the original--ha!). Loved "Jezebel" -- J.'s daughter does a very good job sounding like Gwen Stefani. Personally, I hope that songs like this one open the door for future parodies of songs from female artists -- or groups with female vocalists.

Molly Hatchet! I used to love the "Florida Guitar Army." Janna sounds great! I don't know that original song, so I'll let it grow on me. You guys are the best!

I just downloaded "Jezebel" and have to say, wow, Janna does a fantastic job on that song! I'm really looking forward to future parodies of female-fronted bands now that the secret is out!

Another awesome effort, I must say. Molly Hatchet to No Doubt -- a bit of musical whiplash there, but amazing results as always.
