ApologetiX in WI, GA, OK
Wed., Mar. 26. 2003 11:18pm EST

J. Jackson, lead singer for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here.

Wow, last weekend was spectacular! Three packed concerts in the span of two days -- and God allowed my voice to hold up great!. It sure was great to see all of you, including so many old friends and many new ones, many of whom are long-time email subscribers. Thanks to all of you who came out to McGaffeysville VA and Lancaster PA. You amazed us!

We did have van problems on the way to both concerts. By Saturday afternoon, it had gotten so bad that part of our steering column was deconstructed, and we had to use a screwdriver as our key! Thankfully, that problem has since been remedied ... and we're flying this weekend anyway!

Unfortunately, the kids and I have been battling a stomach virus for the past couple days, but it seems like the worst is over, and the pediatrician assures us that it's a very short-term bug!

Thank you all for your prayers and for your encouragement! So many of you come up to us after concerts and tell us about how you pray for us specifically, and I just want you to know that we really, really appreciate that, and I wholeheartedly believe that your prayers have helped to strengthen and protect us. God bless you!

4. ENCOURAGEMENT FROM EL SALVADOR

Here's an email we received from Dan, a missionary in El Progreso, El Salvador:

I hope this letter finds all of you guys well. I want to apologize for not responding sooner to your generous gift to my village. As promised, you sent us your CD and I want to tell you that we are enjoying it a bunch. You guys are very talented and have a great twist on the music industry. The CD is much better than I anticipated and am grateful that I had the chance to be exposed to it.

Things here have been super busy, but super good. Hopefully God will continue to allow all of us to serve him in the ways he has chosen for us.

6. PRAYER REQUEST

Here's a prayer request from our guitarist/producer Karl's wife, Debbie:

Please pray for my Grandma (my mom's mom). She was diagnosed with lung cancer today, is now on oxygen 24 hours a day, and is starting aggressive chemotherapy early next week. Her cancer is inoperable. The doctor told her that 5 years ago he would have given her six months to live, but with treatment they may be able to prolong that. Her name is Pauline. Thank you.

Apologetically,

J.

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.
