New Single This Wkd: What's On it?
Thu., Sep. 11. 2014 12:01pm EDT
Our next single -- due by the end of this weekend -- features parodies of two famous groups that were among our biggest influences … and just about everybody else's.
Servin' the Father
The Bible tells us "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms" (I Peter 4:10). Of course, when we demonstrate our love by serving our brothers, we're ultimately servin' the Father. Wouldn't it be nice if we all got around to doing that? We might enjoy it so much that we'd do it again and again.
Set Him Free
The Apostle Paul writes a letter to his old friend Philemon about a returning runaway slave named Onesimus who had become a Christian as a result of Paul's ministry. Onesimus had previously caused Philemon so much trouble that he might have been tempted to get back at him, but the aged apostle urges Philemon to do something revolutionary and accept Onesimus back "no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a dear brother."
This two new studio recordings should be available by Sunday night. In fact, we're debuting one of them live at the concert in Wexford PA. Once the new single is released, we'll announce it on our website on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Apologetix and Twitter at https://twitter.com/apologetixband.
