Mr. Whipple & ApologetiX: A Touching Testimony

Ron Whipple is a longtime fan who is really quite charmin' (sorry, we had to squeeze that in … but he's got a good sense of humor). When our new digital songbook came out, Ron printed out every page and had it made into a spiral-bound book.
But this past week, he shared this very touching story with us about what happened when he was asked to lead the adult Sunday school class at his church in the Cleveland OH area:
I thought (at the time) was "I've always wanted to play an ApologetiX song in Sunday School class and now here's my opportunity!" But the funny thing is that I was trying to fit my selfish agenda in that part.
What I mean is that I was looking through all of my favorite ApologetiX songs (which are many) and I was trying to pick a song and then make it fit with what I was supposed to be doing (We were having a review that Sunday and everyone was going to pick an event from OT or NT and then share briefly).
For my part of it, which I could do ahead of everyone else in advance, since I knew what was going to be going on, I was trying to pick an ApologetiX song first and then trying to make it fit by picking an event to go with the song. During my time of preparation, I spent 45 minutes to an hour, and nothing seemed to be right about what I was doing.
Finally, I gave up and decided "Oh well, I guess I don't need to play a song after all." When I finally gave up, that's when I was prompted with the "Offer Your Prayer" song. And then shortly after was when I ordered a bunch of Unconditional Releases CDs.
Anyway, I played the song at the end of class, and several people were moved to tears by that song. And then the group of 11 people were very happy when I said, "I thought that that song was so beautiful and moving, that I wanted everyone to have it." And I opened up the box I had with me and handed out the Unconditional Releases to everyone in class.
Things worked out beautifully. And that's the rest of the story.
