Prayer Request from Karl's Wife, Deb

Hello everyone - Deb Messner here (wife of ApologetiX lead guitarist/producer Karl Messner). Back in September I put a prayer request in the newsletter asking for you to pray for my very good friend Lorri in Georgia, who had just been diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer.
The response was overwhelming - cards and letters suddenly appeared in our mailbox from all over the country, and I was able to take dozens of them with me each time I visited Lorri in the hospital. She was very touched and certainly shocked that so many people she didn't even know would take the time to pray for her, and to send her cards of encouragement. She kept all of them in the table by her bedside during her 3-month hospital stay, and would open a few each day. What a blessing ApologetiX friends and fans were to her - thank you so much!
Lorri has undergone back surgery, chemotherapy and radiation since the last newsletter update. After 3 months in the hospital, she was able to go home to live with her parents as she continues her fight. Her strength and attitude constantly amaze all of us. I have been so incredibly fortunate to have fantastic neighbors and friends willing to donate their time to taking care of our horses and various other critters here at the farm (and, of course, Karl, who has put in a tremendous amount of time and effort on that end of things!) while I spend time in Georgia visiting Lorri. I was able to make several long trips there over the course of the past few months, and I have several more trips planned in the coming weeks.
I'd like to ask again for your prayers and support for Lorri. She will undergo some very major surgery the week of January 24th, followed immediately by another course of chemotherapy. I will be in Georgia for her surgery, as well as for the days following while she's in the hospital recovering. Please pray for her physical and emotional strength, and also for her doctor's knowledge during this operation and recovery.
Also, I will be traveling to Georgia again the first week of February to celebrate Lorri's 40th birthday on Valentine's Day. If you would like to send her a birthday card or any other card of encouragement, I will be leaving before February 9th. Thanks again to all of you who have sent cards and letters to Lorri, and also to those of you who have continued asking about her via email, and certainly to those of you who have continued to pray for her.
