Minnesota Bible Reader Finishes Up and Checks In
Tue., Jan. 25. 2005 10:05am EST
One of our prime goals in ApologetiX is to encourage people to read their Bibles regularly, cover to cover and over and over. Our lead guitarist, Karl Messner, encourages fans at every concert to do this, and many of them check in to let him know how they're doing. Here's a note from a recent "graduate," Heather, whom we first met at Sonshine 2001 in Wilmar MN.
"Karl, I have made it through the Bible for the first time!!! I'm extremely excited and amazed by what God has shown me while I read chapter by chapter each day. I thank God for having giving me the chance to meet you and be challenged to read through the Bible. It has done great things in my life, and you have been a great resource!
"I am determined to challenge myself to step up the number of chapters a day and I am excited about what I will learn that I didn't see last time. I still can't believe I've read through the through the BIBLE!!!! God Bless you and your ministry to many others. I'm ready to grow in the Lord some more!"
God's Done Amazing Things,
Heather
Jeremiah 29:11
Addendum from Karl:
I haven't heard from some of you in a while- if you've "taken a break" pick up where you left off now, while you're thinking about it. Today, I read about David fleeing Absalom in 2 Samuel 15.
Addendum from J.:
I just started Deuteronomy the other day. I promise you newer readers that those tough parts from the middle of Exodus through the end of Deuteronomy really do get easier and more enjoyable each time through. Keep it up!
