Saturday: ApologetiX in WV (Near PA, MD & DC)
Thu., Mar. 24. 2005 1:44am EST
What are you doing this Easter weekend? We'll be spending Good Friday and Easter Sunday with our families, but Saturday night we'll be in Keyser WV for a rare Easter Saturday concert.
Keyser WV is 52 miles from Bedford PA, 86 miles from Morgantown WV, 88 miles from Hagerstown MD, 122 miles from Clarksburg WV, 137 miles from Rockville MD, 157 miles from Washington D.C., and 159 miles from Baltimore MD.
We never play concerts on Easter Sunday, and we rarely play concerts on Easter weekend. In fact, if memory serves us correctly, the last time we did it was a whole millennium ago, in 1999, when we played Sarver PA on Good Friday and Columbus OH on Easter Saturday. But the folks in Keyser WV specifically requested us to play a concert on Easter Saturday this year, so that's where we'll be.
As the Bible says in Romans 14:5, "One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind." One thing we're fully convinced of is that every day is a great day to commemorate and celebrate Christ's death and resurrection, especially during Easter weekend, when even the secular world stops to take notice.
If you've seen us in concert in the past couple weeks, you know that we've added some special songs especially for the Easter season this year, including a new one we added last week. All that has been done with an eye toward this Saturday's concert. Please pray that it's a powerful one. And if you're in the area, we'd love to see you there!
