Bible Test: Are You a Christian?

The world uses various standards for judging whether a person is a Christian. The Bible has a simple test, as described by the Apostle Paul:
2 Corinthians 13:5
"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you -- unless, of course, you fail the test?"
That passage is only one of many that discusses Jesus Christ coming to live inside of us. Here are some others:
Revelation 3:20
(Jesus is speaking) "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."
Ephesians 3:17a
"so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith"
John 14:20
(Jesus is speaking) "In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you."
1 John 2:14b
"I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one."
Romans 8:10
"But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness."
1 John 3:9
"No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God."
Romans 7:18
"I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out."
Galatians 2:20
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
Colossians 1:27
"To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
Ephesians 2:22
"And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
John 14:23
"Jesus replied, 'If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.'"
2 Corinthians 6:16b
For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE."
A recent televison ad for Gatorade asks the question, "Is it in you?" The Bible asks a much more crucial question: "Is He in you?" If you don't know for sure, why not take a moment now and ask Him in?
