Update on Songbook and Other Projects

J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX here again.
The hive is hummin' at ApologetiX Central, and it's full of busy bees.
I was in the studio for nine hours yesterday with ApX guitarist Wayne Bartley, working on vocals for the second song on our upcoming single. We plan to have that out by Sunday night, Lord willing. The first song is already mixed and approved.
The previous three days, ApX keyboardist Rich Mannion and I were mapping out music possibilities for upcoming parodies. We finally picked some definite choices on Thursday morning, and Rich had all of his parts done (drum programming and keyboards) by Friday afternoon!
The main order of ApX business in the Jackson household this week has been The ApologetiX Digital Songbook. My wife, Lisa, and I (but mostly Lisa) have been working on the new edition since the last one came out. No kidding.
Since it covers all of our singles and CDs through the end of 2022, our goal all along has been to get it out as close to the start of 2023 as possible. The previous edition, which covered everything through the end of 2020, didn't come until April 2021.
The new edition will include about 100 more songs than the previous one, plus new tribute sections honoring members of the ApX family we've lost in the past two years. It's in the final editing stages, and we hope to have it available sometime within the next week. Stay tuned.
