Which States Have the Most Fans?
Sun., Aug. 7. 2005 2:30pm EDT
As most of our readers know, our online fan club recently surpassed 50,000 members from all 50 states, plus overseas. We thought it would be interesting to see where those fans come from.
Of the states, Texas has the most members -- over 3500. Pennsylvania and California are second and third respectively, each with over 2500 members.
The following states all have at least 1000 members, and the top eight have at least 1500:
1. Texas
2. Pennsylvania
3. California
4. Ohio
5. Illinois
6. Missouri
7. Florida
8. Michigan
9. Indiana
10. Wisconsin
11. Georgia
12. New York
A number of other states are approaching the 1,000 mark, including Tennessee, Washington, North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama and Oklahoma.
Of course, just because a fan is from a particular state doesn't mean you won't see them at concerts in other states. As they say in sports, our fans travel really well! This past weekend in New Hampshire, for example, Beth Davis became the third ApologetiX fan to see us in 12 states, joining Jon Eklof and Chris Christopherson. And many other fans aren't too far behind!
Not surprisingly, the five states with the least members are Wyoming (the least-populous state); Utah (which has the highest Mormon population); Delaware and Rhode Island (two smaller states we've yet to play) and Vermont (a small state we've only played once, way back in the early days).
