This Weekend: CO, LA & PA
Sun., Aug. 21. 2005 12:34pm EDT

We've spread out our concerts this coming weekend -- from the Rocky Mountains to the Deep South to the Northeast -- in order to maximize your chances of seeing a show somewhere near you. We'll be in Colorado on Friday, Louisiana on Saturday, and Pennsylvania on Sunday.

Friday's concert in Colorado Springs CO is part of a two-day "Dare 2 Dig Deeper Youth Conference" held at Focus on the Family headquarters. It's a special event for teens, parents, church leaders and college students, featuring apologetics experts such as Josh McDowell, Lee Strobel, and many others. We've heard that the initial 1500 tickets had already sold out, but they've had started a waiting list, so don't give up yet. For more information, please go to: http:/www.dare2digdeeper.com.

Saturday, we'll return for our second annual August show in West Monroe LA (1.5 hours from Shreveport and 2 hours from Jackson MS), thanks to the continued efforts of our buddy Clayton Poland. Clayton did an amazing job organizing last year's event and became our friend as a result of the experience, corresponding with us through the past year. We're excited to see our friends in Louisiana again, and we'll be practicing saying "Lose-iana" all week, so we don't sound too touristy. If you're name is "Louise," please don't talk to us this week; you'll throw us off :)

Speaking of Louise, on Sunday, it's time for our six-month checkup in Scottdale PA, where J.'s Aunt Louise came to see her first ApologetiX show on March 5. Once again, the concert will be held at the Scottdale Showtime Theater (no association with Chuck E. Cheese :) It's a great place to see a show, and we're honored to be asked back. Plus, it's right in our own backyard, just 45 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Scottdale is also the birthplace of J.'s paternal grandmother, just in case ApologetiX Trivia ever comes up as a category while you're watching Jeopardy. We bet that one would have even stumped Ken Jennings!
