ApologetiX in CA, PA, NJ, Local Stores
Wed., Aug. 28. 2002 1:39pm EDT

J. Jackson, lead singer and lyricist for ApologetiX (That Christian Parody Band) here.

More good news! Our retail sales coordinator, Tim Hetchler of Wesscott Marketing, informs me that the majority of the Christian bookstores should now have our brand new CD, "Grace Period," in stock. Unfortunately, the Best Buy stores won't have them for a while, so please support your local Christian bookstore or order it a christianbook.com.

We are so glad to finally be getting it into your hands, ears and hearts. Thanks for the patience and encouragement you showed while waiting!

3. HOW YOU CAN HELP

People are always asking us why they've only recently found out about ApologetiX and how they can spread the word. Here are a couple of suggestions, if you feel so inclined:

1. Go to Christianrock.net and request for our new single, "Smooth Grandmama," which is currently is listed as a new ADD. Or you can search for it. We debuted at #26 on their weekly charts, ahead of POD and Jars of Clay. Their charts are here: http://christianrock.net/charts.asp

If you click on the song, you can REVIEW IT and REQUEST it. Since the spins here count toward total spins for the week, every request helps!

2. If you have a copy of "Grace Period" and are digging it, please consider this invitation to write a review at Christianbook.com, the website for Christian Book Distributors, which is already selling "Grace Period" on line. Here's the specific site:

6. A MESSAGE FROM BILL

As most of you know, ApologetiX drummer Bill Rieger's mother recently passed away. Bill asked us to send you all this note from him:

Grace and peace I am touched and over whelmed at the response from all of you. I am under an avalanche of emails. Hundreds and hundreds...and hundreds of you have responded. Thank you one and all. I will continue to read them as time permits. The volume of prayers is amazing. So many of you caring so much, I am so honored. I can't tell you how deeply moved I really am. Thanks also to all of you who went to the Caring Bridge website that was set up by my wife. It was very encouraging.

My mother's "going home celebration" was awe inspiring. As you may know, dark clothes were prohibited and at the "feast" afterward. My brother remarked that it looked more like a cruise ship than a funeral =+) It was a wonderful time of sharing faith and scripture. All of her favorite praise songs were sung. There were so many testimonies given to her faith and the joy she got from her faith. Some of the most influential people in the region were there right next to some homeless people...shoulder to shoulder...one faith. She taught us all as much about faith in her death as she did in her life.

Again, I thank you all for the prayers. I am so blessed...a wonderful, beautiful wife, three sparkling children, a ministry that I believe in, all of you and God who sent his son to die for my sins...mine...and yours.

Christ's Peace Bill John 13:35 "Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples"
