Now, You Can Post Your Concert Photos to ApologetiX.com!

One of the main goals of ApologetiX.com was to have a place where fans could check out photos from every concert we have a photo of, and hopefully find themselves in the photos!
At every concert for a long time, Karl has had a digital camera (and usually passed it off to a friend in the front row). When we get off the road (or to a hotel with high speed internet), he plugs that camera into his Mac, and Dexter (the computer system that Karl wrote to manage many aspects of the ministry) takes all those photos off his camera, makes all the necessary thumbnail sizes and zoomed in sizes, and adds them to our huge database of photos. Currently that database has over 12,500 photos!
Dexter then builds the website marking concerts with new photos, and he/it also automatically includes in the weekly fan club newsletter any recently found photos from long-ago concerts.
Also, fans mail us CDs with many long lost photos. We love it! It's just that importing those CDs does take time, so they tend to pile up for a rainy day. Several days ago, Karl imported hundreds of photos into the website from CDs given us while on the road the last several weeks and months. It took hours. All the while trying to find a better way.
So, tonight, we've turned partial control of Dexter over to you. On the concert page, under the list of recent concerts with photos, there's a link to add your own photos. It's very easy. If you have the digital photo on your computer, or on a CD from Wal*mart, you can just choose the concert, choose the photo on your computer, and then it'll give you a chance to put in a little caption, and even give yourself photo credit.
They have to be approved to be posted, then they're on our site! PLEASE get your photos from past concerts and post them! We're missing so many early shows! (See the Ten Most Wanted in the sidebar of the newsletter!)
Hope you enjoy participating with us- many many people look at those photos, and email them to friends through our site, you just might have a photo of a fan that we don't and that would make their day!
