Delaware is 49th State Booked
Fri., Sep. 23. 2005 9:07am EDT
We just booked our first concert in Delaware, our 49th state overall and 33rd this year alone.
That's ironic, seeing as Delaware is recognized as the first state, because it was the first to ratify the U.S. Constitution, in 1787. Our home state of Pennsylvania was the second, although it's actually a commonwealth, as are Kentucky, Massachusetts and Virginia.
Prior to 2005, our record for most states played in a single year was 29 in 2003 and 28 plus one province in 2002. There are other concerts in the works for 2005 that could take that record-breaking total even higher.
We're scheduled to play Newark DE on November 6. For more details, check out the concerts section of the website. That leaves North Dakota as the only state we have yet to play or to book. We hope to play there before 2005 is over.
We played right over the border from Fargo ND in Detroit Lakes MN at Spirit Fest Midwest in 2002 and 2003, although that festival has since been discontinued. We even flew into Fargo and stayed at hotels there. As Frankie Valli so eloquently put it, "So close and yet so far!"
If you live in or have connections in North Dakota and would like to help be a part of the first ApologetiX concert there, please contact us!
