Rick & Bubba and Richard Simmons Too
Tue., Oct. 11. 2005 2:12am EDT
We had a great time on the Rick & Bubba Show last Friday, monopolizing the entire last hour of their show. The show is syndicated throughout six states in the South -- Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, and Mississippi.
J. & Karl acted as ApologetiX ambassadors while the rest of the boys stayed home for an extra day with their families. Rick & Bubba did plenty of plugs for the band and played "JC's Mom," "Bethlehemian Rhapsody," and "Smooth Grandmama (Live)."
On the way into the studio, we got to meet the previous guest, fitness guru Richard Simmons, who stopped to shake our hands.
"You're a tall one, aren't you," said Simmons to J.
We couldn't believe how many fans called in, from Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana. You guys are the best! Thanks again to Rick & Bubba, who are even nicer off the air than they are on the air. It was our second appearance on the show, the first being February 20, 2004.
For those of you who were listening to us on the Rick & Bubba Show and want to take advantage of the special half-price deal we offered, here's the link again:
http://www.apologetix.com/idaho
We're going to extend that offer until this Friday, October 14, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. If you're a diligent ApologetiX fan and have made it this far into the article, we'll let you take advantage of the sale, too, as your reward.
After lunch, we did a second in-studio interview, with Jon Holder at WGRW Grace Radio 90.7 FM in Anniston AL. We finished up the day with a third in-studio interview, with Jason Bozeman at a local mainstream station, the Mix 102.9 in Gadsden AL.'
Thanks, Jon and Jason!
Special thanks to Cary Baker and Michael Bozeman, two local youth pastors who acted as our tour guides and chauffeurs all day long.
